Creating Sustainable NonProfits

 

Our mission: Abbey Ministries seeks to create environments of spiritual and personal growth, to shepherd with the heart of Jesus Christ and to serve strategically to effectively meet the needs of the our communities.

Proceeds from the profits of the monthly subscriptions to The Abbey are used in the creation and development of sustainable non-profit Abbey Ministries. The vision of The Abbey is to be able to fund ministries and help create a more sustainable and equal model for non profit ministries. Our hope that is that as our user base expands, so does the ministries that are supported by The Abbey. 

The monthly subscription for The Abbey App would approximately be $2.99. As we reach the intervals of gaining new monthly users, we would be able to fully fund the initial operating budget for a new 501c3 non profit Abbey Ministry. This  budget would include start up expenses, director and staff salaries, operating expenses, etc. Any donations received from other donors could then be used fully for the ministry to serve and expand their work in the community.

Collegiate Abbey

The Abbey App is sustainable and the ministry of Collegiate Abbey at the University of Tennessee Knoxville is fully funded.

Abbey Bakery

Abbey Bakery is launched to help employ refugee women in Knoxville, Tennessee. The bakery provides them with a living wage and access to education.

Abbey Cafe

Located in Knoxville, Tennessee, Abbey Café is launched in partnership with others that are helping to provide employment and sustainable living for those in the special needs community.

Abbey Farm

Abbey Farm serving those dealing with trauma, grief and PTSD is launched in Knoxville, TN.  The farm will also house an event venue and work alongside the bakery and café. The income will help to further the service available to the workers.
