Historically an abbey was a place in the midst of a community that was a source of healing, rest, encouragement and exhortation for those both in the community and those traveling through it. We have developed The Abbey App to be such a place in this new and evolving information highway that has become a daily part of our lives.
The ABBEY App has three main areas: Prayer, Meditation, and Reflection. Our prayer is that God would use the content found in The Abbey to help bring grace and peace to the lives of our users.

The ABBEY App is a resource hub where you can find and access all of the tools used and created by the staff of Collegiate Abbey. You can find out more about the ministry of Collegiate Abbey by clicking on the button below.

You can access samples of the three resource sections of The ABBEY App by clicking on the buttons below.

The vision of The Abbey App is that it would become a catalyst to help launch sustainable nonprofit ministries in our communities.  Our hope that is that as our user base expands, so does the ministries that are supported by The Abbey.
As we grow our initial vision is to establish and develop ministries serving the collegiate community, the special needs community, the refugee community and PTSD, grief and trauma victims.

The Abbey App is a monthly subscription based app with all of the proceeds going to support the sustainable nonprofit efforts mentioned above.

Income generated from the collaborative services provided helps to further stabilize the ministries to the areas of need.

Sustainability Example: A wedding booked at the event venue of Abbey Farm and catered by Abbey Bakery and Cafe would create capital to fund ministries serving the special needs community, refugees and those dealing with grief, trauma and PTSD.

what is Collegiate Abbey?

timothy-eberly-yuiJO6bvHi4-unsplash.jpg

Collegiate Abbey is a 501c3 Non Profit ministry that serves the faculty, staff and administration on University campuses.

The Need:

University Leadership (Administration, Faculty and Staff) is one of the most overlooked areas of our campus by ministries and organizations that resource and serve the University.  There are over 34 organizations to reach the undergraduate and graduate student body (approx. 26,000 people) yet there is no one serving the Administration and Staff (approx 5,000 people).  Currently, there is a chasm between the University Leaderships and the Christian body.  Due to this a gap has developed between University Leadership and the body of Christ, leaving these leaders under served, under resourced and without a shepherding presence.

The Idea:

Collegiate Abbey develops bridges of trust and relationship with University Leadership.  We seek to create environments of grace and peace that help to care for leaders and serve them through the gospel of Christ.

The Strategy:

Partnership - By using our gifting as innovators and connectors, along with our combined experience of over 50 years, we seek to : create bridges that have not existed before, connect individuals and groups to collaborate to meet the needs of the campus, and help to bring life and encouragement to University Leadership

Resource - In response to listening to the needs of the University Leadership, we create resources, events and gatherings to help cultivate health and spiritual growth.

Development - Our desire is to help University Leadership take the next steps in developing thier relationshps with God, their families, and each other.
